From 1968 until retirement I spent my working life involved within the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. This included systems design, training, marketing and sales functions.

The oil industry enabled me to travel and work in many countries of Europe, the Middle East, and North and West Africa. In 1979 I went self-employed and added writing to my CV. I retired in 2003, and now write regularly for a number of magazines applying my specialist knowledge of fiscal metering, the capture and processing of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), pipeline, road and maritime transportation, biofuels, and renewable energy.

I am a Fellow of the Energy Institute, and a member of the Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration.

Magazines that have published my work include:

Hazardous Cargo Bulletin
Petroleum Review
Tanker Operator
Lloyd's Ship Manager
Scandinavian Oil & Gas
Lloyd's List
Tank Storage magazine
Marine Engineers Review
Biofuels International
Ethanol Producer
French Week
Bus & Coach Professional
The Fuelhandler

Besides writing articles, I can offer:

Public relations
Press releases
Ghost writing
Company newsletters
Conference presentations and delivery
Technical proposals
Operating and maintenance manuals
